Sylvan Lake McDonald's employee Jon Violito's artwork was selected for the 'Made at McDonald's' campaign.

The campaign celebrates the heart and talent behind the counter at McDonald's restaurants across Canada, and the chosen artwork will appear on McDonald's packaging in over 1,450 McDonald's restaurants and across key digital and media channels.

Violito first found out about his piece being a potential winner for the contest back in April.

"When I found out, it was a mix of emotions. Mostly excitement, thinking it was for all of Canada, and thinking about how my artwork has been appreciated. But it was also a very proud and rewarding moment for me," he said.

"My relatives and my work friends recognize my work, but this is the first time it is national."
