Bullhead City didn’t exactly explode in population last year, but it held its own— tacking on a solid 0.7% and landing at 43,266 residents, according to new U.S. Census data. That’s not bad, especially considering 28 Arizona cities lost people.
But if you’re wondering who ran away with the growth crown, it wasn’t Phoenix, Tucson or even those booming suburbs. Nope — it was Tolleson, the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it city on the west edge of Phoenix, which somehow grew nearly 30% in a year. ×
