NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is facing a slew of charges related to an alleged robbery attempt and subsequent shooting at an apartment complex near the airport in June.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Metro Nashville Police Department, two men visited an apartment on Southwood Park Place on June 14, and the couple inside allowed them entry.

Once inside, the men started demanding money from the woman while she was in the back bedroom, the affidavit states.

Her boyfriend threw the men out of the apartment and shut the door, prompting one of them to start kicking the door, according to the affidavit. He then fired multiple shots through the door and continued firing as he and the other man fled the scene.
