Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson was carted off the practice field after suffering what appeared to be a left leg injury during Tuesday’s practice.
Wilson limped off the field and into the medical tent after getting rolled up on by offensive lineman Brett Toth during a drill. Reporters at the NovaCare Complex noted that Wilson was unable to put any pressure on his left foot. He was later carted off the field.
It’s an unfortunate setback for Wilson, who was looking more and more like a lock to make the Eagles’ 53-man roster in a crowded wide receiver room.
Wilson, a 2024 sixth-round pick out of Florida State, had a slow start to training camp but flashed in the Eagles’ preseason opener. The 6-foot-6 target had three catches for 73 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals,
