CHARLESTON — Two of the biggest names in the art and entertainment world here are collaborating for a show that will fuse dance, music, comedy and film with AI.

Mike Winkelmann, the digital artist known as Beeple who was made famous by his $69 million sale for 5,000 days worth of art combined into one mega-piece, is teaming up with Danny McBride , the imaginative mind behind "The Righteous Gemstones" and more Charleston-filmed comedies.

The two are holding an event at Winkelmann's 50,000-square-foot exhibition space off Clements Ferry Road. Dubbed "Synthetic Theatre," the show will explore the boundary between human imagination and artificial intelligence.
