Pediatrics Group Defies Trump Admin With Covid Vaccine Recommendation

The American Academy of Pediatrics has publicly recommended a new Covid-19 shot for children, defying earlier guidance from the federal government.

It’s the first time in three decades that the AAP has deviated from the course set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“It is going to be somewhat confusing. But our opinion is we need to make the right choices for children to protect them,” Dr. James Campbell , vice chair of the AAP infectious diseases committee, told the Associated Press .
