BATON ROUGE — The injury to LSU football backup quarterback Michael Van Buren's hand is not serious and won't cause him to miss any time.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly told reporters following the team's 17th preseason practice Tuesday that Van Buren jammed the index finger on his throwing hand and that he'll be "back out" practicing full-go Wednesday.

"He'll do a light throwing program in the afternoon today and we'll have him back out there tomorrow."
