(NewsNation) — Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is visiting the border Tuesday to speak about the Trump administration's border control efforts.

Noem will host a press conference at the U.S.-Mexico border wall in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

She will provide updates on the work being done to crack down on drugs, trafficking and illegal crossings.

Noem has held several press conferences this year touting the detention of those convicted of or charged with crimes.

The Trump administration's immigration enforcement efforts have been met with controversy and multiple legal challenges over the speed of deportations and the rights of those detained to be heard in court.
