SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A person was injured after a house caught fire Tuesday morning in the Florin area of Sacramento County, officials said.

Fire crews were dispatched around 5:05 a.m. to a property on Fairlawn Court off El Terraza Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found a garage fully on fire with flames extending into the main section of the home, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said.

The family residing in the home was asleep when the fire started and reported hearing a “boom” followed by the sound of breaking glass. Flames quickly spread into the entryway and living room. All occupants left the building, the fire district said.
