BOISE, Idaho — A helicopter crew from the Idaho National Guard was able to assist Air St. Luke's in successfully rescuing a man from Trinity Mountain.

A news release from the Idaho National Guard said the unit – with the formal name Detachment 1, Golf Company, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment – performed the Idaho Air National Guard's eighth successful rescue of this year.

The Idaho National Guard, or IDARNG, worked alongside Air St. Luke's aircrew after a man was reported injured on Trinity Mountain, east of Boise.

Air St. Luke's aircrew had located the patient, a 55-year-old man with a broken leg. He was found near Fiddle Lake on Trinity Mountain, where no suitable landing zones were located.
