WARE, Mass. (WWLP) - The Healey-Driscoll administration has awarded nearly $8 million in grants to fund clean energy projects throughout the state.

This funding was awarded through the Green Communities competitive grants, distributed by the Department of Energy Resources (DOER). Forty-six municipalities in Massachusetts were selected this year to receive grants through this program, with the goal of saving energy costs and cutting greenhouse gas emissions in communities statewide.
