College football teams including Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio State have gone public with naming their starting quarterbacks in recent days as the kickoff to the season draws closer.

Georgia football’ s QB1 hasn’t been shrouded with much mystery after Gunner Stockton stepped in as the starter for the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2, and the quarterbacks currently on the roster behind him haven’t played a single college snap.

Stockton played the second half for an injured Carson Beck in the SEC Championship game win over Texas and then went up against a Notre Dame team that reached the national championship game in a CFP quarterfinal loss.

Stockton had all spring and this preseason to gear up to begin the season as the starter.
