A man who was killed in a Marigny shooting last week was identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office Tuesday afternoon as 44-year-old Michael Burks.

New Orleans Police Department officers found Burks unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the 2100 block of Decatur Street at around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday. He was declared dead on scene, police said.

Police have not released updates in the case.
