SPOKANE, Wash. — The memorial service for the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Sergeant killed while helping remove a hay bale from I-90 near the Four Lakes exit is set for Wednesday.
The service for Sgt. Kenneth Salas will begin at 1 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center.
The Sheriff's Office says the service is open to the public, but public seating is limited.
The public is encouraged to line the route Wednesday, Aug. 20, to honor Sgt. Salas during a memorial procession starting at approximately 11 a.m.
The procession will begin at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, 5701 N. Assembly Street, which will be closed to all, but law enforcement and first responders involved in the event. From there, the procession will travel:
