State and local law enforcement are teaming up to teach teen drivers about the dangers that come with being behind the wheel.

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, Dunlap Police Department, and Tennessee Highway Patrol are holding the "Teen Safe Driving Experience & Tailgate".

Organizers say the event is meant to help teach teen drivers safety.

It will also demonstrate the dangers of driving while impaired.

The event will be at Sequatchie County High School on Friday August 22, from 4:30-6:00pm in the alternative school parking lot.

Hotdogs and drinks will be provided free of charge.
