The FDA is looking into reports of radioactive contamination in frozen shrimp from Indonesia sold at Walmart. U.S. border officials found signs of a radioactive material called cesium-137 in shipping containers at ports in Los Angeles, Houston, Savannah, and Miami.

Testing confirmed low levels of radiation in one sample of breaded shrimp from BMS Foods. As a result, the FDA has blocked those shrimp shipments from entering the U.S.

While no shrimp currently in stores has tested positive, the FDA says Walmart received frozen raw shrimp from the same company.

As a safety measure, the FDA is urging Walmart to recall three specific batches of Great Value brand frozen raw shrimp , sold in 13 states.
