On August 12, flooding struck the Tennessee Valley. Our first responders worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of others.

Local 3 obtained some of these heartbreaking calls and life-saving efforts by Hamilton County Dispatch.

One caller expresses they are trapped in their house. She "cannot get out of the house" due to the flooding. She tells the dispatcher she "[does not] want to die."

This is just one of the many calls 911 dispatchers received during last Tuesday's flooding. This was a historic weather event that caused many to lose their homes, cars, belongings, and even their lives.
