On Tuesday, the Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to the public regarding three lots of Great Value brand frozen raw shrimp that were produced by Indonesia-based PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati. The warning says shipments containing shrimp sold at Walmart tested positive or alerted for Cesium-137 (Cs-137) when trying to enter the U.S.

The FDA says Cs-137 is a radioisotope of cesium that is man-made through nuclear reactions. Although trace amounts can be found in the environment, including soil, food, and air, the FDA monitors for the radioisotope. Any unexpected findings of the radioisotope may require further testing.
