Scott Schmidt and Chad Dunwald, of Sidney, captured 4th place in Drayton, North Dakota’s 25th annual catfishing tournament, Catfish Capital Challenge. They won a cash prize of $1,000 after weighing in 8 channel catfish totalling 79.91 lbs. over the 2-day tournament August 15-16. Teams could weigh in two fish up to 24 inches long, and two fish over 24 inches.

Al and Lisa Erickson and Zach Erickson of Grand Forks, ND won the $10,000.00 first prize. Their cumulative 2-day weigh-ins of 7 catfish totaled 92.72 lbs. In all, almost $20,000 in cash prizes were awarded in downtown Drayton late Saturday afternoon. Second place finishers were August Bach and Brooke Criswell of Milton, IA with 85.24 lbs.
