WILLISTON — With the first games of the WDA girls' golf season down, Williston's Dani Tinklenberg and Kali Larsen have been locked in a tight race for team leader, trading top finishes across three tournaments.
Tinklenberg, who has averaged 82.75 points per game thus far, has led the Coyotes during the East-West Classic (Aug. 11-12) and Century Invite (Aug. 18), while trailing behind Larsen who, with an average of 84.5 points, took first among the Coyotes at the Watford City Invite (Aug. 15) with a close 80-81 score. It was in the latter game that Tinklenberg and Larsen placed among the top 10 finishers overall, fifth and sixth (in a four-way tie), respectively, which helped push the Coyotes to fourth place (out of 12 teams), their highest team placement so far. kAmsFC:?8 E96 EH@\52J t2
