The Washington Commanders have signed another former Seattle Seahawk.
The team announced the signing of offensive tackle George Fant on Tuesday. Fant started his career in Seattle as an undrafted free agent. He started his career transitioning to the offensive line after playing basketball in college, and one year of tight end for Western Kentucky.
Fant learned quickly and made the 53-man roster for Seattle. Fant went on to start 24 games for the Seahawks between 2016 and 2019. After his successful career in Seattle, Fant went on to play three years with the New York Jets (2020-2022), and one year with the Houston Texans (2023) before returning to Seattle last year.
