SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - After nearly a week of triple-digit heat, some relief is on the way. The chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase on Wednesday and Thursday. It will stay hot on Wednesday with temperatures closer to normal beginning on Thursday.

Wednesday temperatures: We will see one more day of scorching heat on Wednesday. Temperatures will once again begin in the mid to upper 70s. Daytime highs on Wednesday will not be quite as hot, but will still be near the century mark. We will then settle into the middle 90s on Thursday.

Rain chances to increase: Futurecast shows that any rain that has developed across the ArkLaTex on Tuesday afternoon will end quickly after sunset. Expect a clear to partly cloudy sky on Tuesday night. Showers and thunderstorms will
