A seasonal Colorado Parks and Wildlife ranger was airlifted to the hospital after being stabbed at Staunton State Park near Pine, Colorado on Tuesday morning.
Authorities are looking for the suspect — described as a 6-foot-tall white man in his early 30s, brown hair and clean shaven, wearing a blank grey shirt and blue jeans — who fled on foot from the scene, according to social media posts from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office .
Police first posted about the incident just before 10:30 a.m., Tuesday. The incident occurred near the park's Lazy V Trailhead, officials said.
