Firefighters are on scene for a home fire near the Old Colorado City area in Colorado Springs Tuesday afternoon, according to a social media post from the fire department.

The fire ignited around 2:30 p.m. and can reportedly be seen coming from the first floor of a home in the 2600 block of Hagerman Street, near U.S. 24 by the Fairview Cemetery and Bott Park.

"Please avoid the area and be cautious of crews responding," the Colorado Springs Fire Department said in a post on the X platform.
