FOLEY — The City of Foley is making improvements to a dangerous intersection where at least three people have been killed in recent months.
The intersection of Baldwin County 65 and Airport Road was previously maintained by the county. However, in June, the Foley City Council voted to take over the area to make necessary improvements.
The City is adding street lighting and a four-way stop.
"We've received a lot of good, positive feedback on the safety upgrades at that intersection," Mayor Ralph Hellmich said. "It seems to be working really well."
The speed limit in the area has been reduced to 35 mph.
