LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Ingham County Animal Control removed 11 dogs from the home of an alleged dog breeder on the south side of Lansing Tuesday afternoon. The dogs are currently undergoing medical evaluations.

Police say officers received a tip from someone who, obtaining a dog from the alleged breeder, became concerned for the health of the dogs inside the home, located in the 1400 block of Hillcrest Street.

Tuesday afternoon, Ingham County Animal Control executed a search warrant on the home and transported 11 dogs to the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter, where they are undergoing medical evaluations and will receive necessary medical care.

According to Animal Control, officers may submit a request for criminal charges to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.
