The New England Patriots are filling a couple of roster holes with a pair of rookies who were recently let go by the Tennessee Titans.
On Tuesday, the Patriots announced that they had signed running back Micah Bernard and defensive lineman Philip Blidi. The team also released defensive end Jereme Robison and cornerback Tre Avery in corresponding moves to make room on the roster.
Bernard and Blidi are both undrafted rookies who signed with the Tennessee Titans on May 8.
The 5-foot-10, 206-pound Bernard was a productive running back at Utah during his college career, playing in 47 games. He was cut on June 2 by Tennessee.
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-3, 297-pound Blidi played for Texas Tech, Indiana and then Auburn in college. He was released by the Titans on Sunday.
