Cruising through Southern Italy, Sicily and Malta was not exactly how I set out to travel this summer, but there we were. My son, Journey and I, both curious and open-minded about the opportunity to uncover eight quaint towns in eight days, beyond the typical tourist circuit, by boat. A small Variety Cruise ship to be exact, which is said to be the most responsible way to move through the unique and varied coast of all three countries.
