LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For Louisville Cardinal basketball fans, it doesn’t seem long ago that Peyton Siva was tearing up the court as a player from 2009 to 2013. Last year, he joined head coach Pat Kelsey’s staff, and as he heads into his second year, he’s been promoted to assistant coach.
Siva, who served as the director of player development and alumni relations, will now concentrate on recruiting and player development as an on-court assistant. He will also maintain his responsibilities in alumni relations and community engagement.
UofL said Siva played a crucial role in the development of point guard All-ACC First Teamer Chucky Hepburn. In a release, the school said Siva helped Hepburn focus on skills—tangible and intangible—that led to Hepburn’s and the program’s growth during the year.
