Hours after the American president met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on Monday, Moscow’s special envoy in negotiations, Kirill Dmitriev, sent a clear message that Trump had delivered exactly what the Kremlin wanted him to. Dmitriev posted a photo montage on social media set to a popular Russian song called “Mother” that came out exactly one month after Russia unleashed its full-scale war on Ukraine in 2022. The photos showed Trump calling Putin even as European leaders were still present in the White House.
