COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The Illinois Department of Transportation is hiring snowplow drivers.

Both full-time temporary and hourly on-call positions need to be filled to maintain more than 45,000 lane miles statewide during winter. The starting salary for a full-time temporary employee is $6,044 per month, while hourly employees are paid $27.79 an hour.
