CANMORE — With the start of the regular season around the corner, the Canmore Eagles are emphasizing their incentives to house more players in the local community.
Lyndsay Kearns, billeting coordinator, said the team is looking for more families to add to their list of available homes, as they anticipate unusually high player movement this year.
“With the restructuring of junior hockey, we do anticipate players going up to the WHL for a period of time [and] coming back down. It is something that we have never really seen in seasons past. We do anticipate there to be a need for potentially more families than we might normally need in a season,” she said.
