ROWLETT, Texas — After a sewer main failure flooded its campus, a local daycare is suing the City of Rowlett for its alleged involvement.
In a lawsuit filed in Dallas County District Court, Essential Education Inc., which operates the Primrose School of Rowlett, accused the City of Rowlett, Liberty Grove Development 2 LLC, and Circle H Contractors L.P. of negligence and creating a public nuisance. The school is seeking more than $1 million in damages.
According to the filing, the June 4 collapse occurred during a city-approved project to “upsize” a 12-inch sewer main to a 15-inch line, expanding capacity for the community.
