DALLAS — Dallas' newly-hired inspector general, tasked with investigating fraud and corruption and ensuring the city complies with ethics rules, isn't an attorney, as is required by city charter following a voter-approved charter amendment passed in November.
Timothy Menke, who is a former federal official who worked as a federal agent specializing in fraud investigations at the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, was appointed Dallas' Inspector General effective June 30.
