MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Mesa County Administrator Todd Hollenbeck said a temporary hiring freeze has gone into effect at the county.
Hollenback said the hiring freeze is part of an ongoing effort to preserve current staff members, protect critical services and prepare for the impacts of statewide budget obstacles.
“This hiring freeze is another step to protect the workforce we have today and to ensure we can continue delivering services residents rely on," Hollenback said.
According to the county, under the hiring freeze: • No new job postings, promotions or requisitions will be issued. • Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis for roles vital to public safety or essential to operations.
