FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Fayette County on Monday.

At approximately 7:27 p.m. Monday, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a crash on Filmore Road at the intersection of Cedar Road.

Police say 21-year-old Jackson Roushar, of Cedar Rapids, was heading northbound in the SUV on Cedar Road when he ran the stop sign.

He collided with an eastbound semi truck, driven by 31-year-old Taran Sherburne, of Clarksville.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Roushar was taken to the hospital for “serious injuries.”

The SUV was a total loss. The semi truck had around $80,000 worth of damage.

The crash remains under investigation. No other information is known at this time.
