LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - One of the nation’s best high school football players, Savion Hiter, is heading to Ann Arbor.
Louisa County High School senior announced his commitment to the University of Michigan Tuesday, August 19.
Hiter’s other top offers came from Tennessee, Georgia, and Ohio State, but he said Michigan stood out.
“It feels so much different than any other school. It feels like a blessing every time I am there and it feels like family,” Hiter said.
The five-star recruit is ranked as the number one running back recruit in the country for the class of 2026, and the number 9 player in the nation, according to 247Sports composite ranking .
After his announcement, Hiter was asked how he will fit into the Wolverines offense.
“They run the ball a lot,” Hiter joked.
