LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A new corner store opened on July 26 at the corner of Griffiths Avenue and 25th Street in the Portland neighborhood.

Brolly Bodega is stocked with homemade cleaning supplies, snacks to go, drinks and homemade, hot meals.

It was opened by Portland-native Raymont Forney.

"I'm a proud Portland representative, I'm a living testimony that it can happen," Forney said. "It's been a childhood dream to really own a business since I was a kid. You know, watching my granddaddy have a couple businesses as when I was younger, and just following behind his footsteps."

As one of the only bodegas in the city, Forney said he wanted to meet the community where they're at, and chose to open the storefront 24/7.
