HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Could potential cuts to public transportation funding be a much bigger deal for central Pennsylvania than previously thought?

The debate on public transportation funding has played a key role in keeping the Pennsylvania state budget at a standstill. Democrats in Pennsylvania want to increase public transportation funding as part of an effort to keep up with rising costs and maintain current service levels.

Republicans call that a subsidy to Philadelphia because that area relies far more on public transportation than any other part of the state.
