BAY VILLAGE, Ohio -- The Bay Village Board of Education has voted unanimously to grant a new five -year contract to Superintendent Scot Prebles .

Prebles’ new contract provides for a base salary of $195,000 annually, effective Aug. 1. It allows for future possible cost-of-living increases during the term of the contract, when agreed upon by the board and deemed appropriate.

When granting the new contract Monday, board members praised Prebles’ leadership and demeanor, crediting him with fostering student growth.

Board President Amy Huntley, while saying that the board put a great deal of thought into its decision, said retaining Prebles was “a no-brainer.”
