PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man captured in surveillance images following an attack near Philadelphia City Hall earlier this month.

According to investigators, a 17-year-old was assaulted around 6:30 p.m. on August 9 while in Dilworth Park.

Authorities say the suspect knocked the teen to the ground and stole his cell phone.

Central detectives are now exploring whether the incident may be connected to other recent attacks in or near Center City , including two that occurred on Friday night.

In one case, a woman was struck in the head with a bottle by a man who then stole her necklace at 20th and South Streets.
