The Washington City Council heard an update Monday on the city’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2026. Highlights include implementing employee raises suggested by a salary study last year, although the city will likely wait to see if additional merit raises will also be feasible.
The second phase of the raises suggested in McGrath Human Resources Group’s salary study from last year will cost an additional $305,000 from the city’s general fund, City Administrator Darren Lamb said. ×
