MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The fire that broke out at the townhouses next to the Villages at West Run in Monongalia County over the weekend remains under investigation, but volunteer groups are helping out those affected.
At least two townhomes were badly damaged in the blaze, displacing those residents. No injuries or transports were reported.
In a statement to 12 News, a representative from Metro Property Management, which is in charge of The Villages at West Run, said that the blaze was not on their property, but rather the one next door.
“It was the townhouse community next to us that we do not own or manage. None of our tenants have been displaced. […] These townhouses fall under individual homeowners,” the representative said.
