CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — The Final Proposal draft for West Virginia’s Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) funding is now available for public comment.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring broadband to every corner of our state and help every West Virginian reach their full potential,” Governor Patrick Morrisey said in a Tuesday release from his office. “We are one of the first states in the nation to partner with the Trump Administration on this critical internet expansion to reach unserved areas. We are looking forward to the public comment period and ultimately bringing more jobs and transformational change to our state.”

The draft for the Final Proposal can be read here. Comments can be submitted using a web form until 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 26.
