CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte police on Tuesday afternoon arrested one person and were searching for two more following a police chase.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said on Tuesday, Aug. 19 that they arrested one juvenile and were searching for two more people after they led police on a chase following an attempted traffic stop.

Police said around 12:30 p.m. they attempted a traffic stop on the suspects who were wanted in connection to a shooting into an occupied dwelling case.

Officials said the driver refused to stop and sped away from officers and was driving erratically.

Officers made the decision to pursue the suspects as they considered this a crime dangerous to life, according to officials.
