INDIANAPOLIS (WBTV) - Former Duke and Charlotte high school star Daniel Jones was named the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced on Tuesday.

Jones, who signed with the Colts in the off-season beat out the 2023 No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson for the starting job.

The former Charlotte Latin High School star has had an up and down career since entering the NFL in 2019.

In his six years in the league Jones as started 69 games while completing 64.1% of his passes for 14,582 yards and 70 touchdowns to go along with 47 interceptions.

Jones has also rushed for over 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns during his career.

The former Blue Devil is on his third NFL team since being drafted No. 6 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
