(KRON) -- A heat advisory has been issued for much of the interior Bay Area and Central Coast for Thursday and Friday. Temperatures across the region will mostly be in the 90s, according to the National Weather Service.
Most interior portions of the Bay Area and Central Coast will be under the advisory, which lasts from 10 a.m. Thursday through 10 p.m. Friday.
An extreme heat watch will be in effect for the Central Valley during the same time period.
The weather service advises the following precautions: • Never leave people or pets in vehicles • Limit outdoor activities during the afternoon and evening hours • Stay hydrated and take cooling breaks
"Take it easy during the heat of the day," the weather service advised in a social media post.
