SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Move in day and starting college can be an exciting time, but some Savannah State University (SSU) students said they have nowhere to live on campus this semester due to a variety of issues.

These concerns were raised amid a power outage on campus Sunday. Power was restored that night, but classes were delayed a day.

Over the weekend, one student posted a video online of water leaking through the ceiling of her dorm at University Commons. A spokesperson with the university said another unit was impacted as well, and a clogged toilet caused the leak.

"The affected students were promptly relocated to another unit to ensure their safety and comfort," the spokesperson wrote.
