TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man who killed a couple in their 80s at their Pixley home in 1992 and beat up another man days later was denied parole, the Tulare County District Attorney's Office said Tuesday.
The DA's office said that 50-year-old Benigno Sanchez was issued a five-year denial of parole from the California parole commissioners.
On Easter Sunday, April 19, 1992, Sanchez, who was 17 years old at the time, entered the Pixley home of an 82-year-old man and his 81-year-old wife to burglarize it.
When confronted by the man, the DA's office said Sanchez grabbed an unknown object and struck him several times on the head, killing him. Sanchez did the same to the woman, resulting in her death, two days later. After beating the victims, the DA's office said Sanchez stole a p
