WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — School districts across Tennessee are getting rid of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies for hiring due to a new state law called the Dismantle DEI in Employment Act passed by the Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year.

Now, One WillCo, a nonprofit in Williamson County supporting racial minority students, is still advocating for diversity among educators, specifically in Williamson County Schools.

One WillCo officials said the policy change is a step back from WCS's previous hiring processes.
